Nearly the end of May now, and finally after a late start the first produce is ready to harvest at Pluktuin Sayuran!
At this stage everything is leafy veg, and maybe a few radishes too: read more about what you can pick, how to pick it, and what you can do with it in the kitchen here. Please bring your own bags and containers! Payment with pin or exact change.
We are also selling seedlings and ‘moestuintjes’: a couple of varieties of radish, bush beans, amaranth, sweetcorn, sunflowers, and various herbs.
So come along anytime between 11.00 and 17.00 on Saturday 25th May to get your hands on some fresh local goodies or additions for your garden or moestuin. Pluktuin de Bosrand, in which we are situated, is also open and still has some amazing fresh rhubarb (time to whip up a cheeky little rhubarb crumble or make a batch of jam/ chutney?), as well as flowers for bouquets and herbal tea leaves to pick. Plenty of reason to get yourself over to our side of the Wageningse Eng!
Starting next week, Pluktuin Sayuran will be open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11.00-18.00.
